Continuously cast square billets of nominal section of 130 x 130 and 150 x 150 mm and 12000 mm long coming from the EAF Shop are semi-finished products for making rolled products at mills 201, 212 and 350.

The stock is charged into the reheating furnace with an estimation of a billet weight. The metal is heated in the reheating furnace to 1,100 °C — 1150 °C (hot working temperatures). Removal of scale that was formed during heating on a water descaler.

210 and 212 mill
The 210 and 212 wire mill is used for the manufacture of steel wire rods and coiled ribbed steel bars.
Continuous rolling in the mill roughing train, intermediate train, and a finishing train, in a double-stand modular block, and finally in the ten-stand high-speed block where the finished section is formed with the rolls of the last stand.
Depending on the specified characteristics of the drawing stock or ribbed steel bars, the product goes through the controlled two-stage cooling (Danieli Structure Control) in water cooling sections and on the air cooling roller conveyor.
The loops of the drawing stock or ribbed steel bars formed with a laying head are laid in coils in the coiler's pit.
In the finishing section, coils are subjected to visual inspection. Any defective or uncooled loops are removed from the front / rear end. SUND BIRSTA bindingand strapping machines are used for drawing stock/ribbed bars packaging.
Next stage: a coil is measured on commercial scales, labeled with an ID label (tag), and transported to the warehouse / shipped to the customer.
350 Mill
Hot-rolled round, square or hexagonal steel rolling products and ribbed steel bars are manufactured in the small-section 350 Mill.
Continuous rolling in roughing, intermediate and finishing trains to manufacture 20 – 40 mm sections; and an additional reduction in the six-stand single block to manufacture 8.0 – 18 mm sections.
To ensure the required characteristics of rolled products and ribbed steel bars, the stock goes through a controlled QTB process on the water cooling stage.
The product is cut to length so that it could fit a walking-beam cooler. Natural coolingof bars on the cooler during walking, packaging according to the bar quantity/weight, custom cutting to length. Final laying-up, packing and bundling.
Next stage: a package is measured on commercial scales, labeled with an ID label (tag), and transported to the warehouse / shipped to the customer.
